FEATURE

04. Smart Bin Allocation

The system auto-scores by same-SKU clustering, floor proximity, and pick-face priority to recommend the top 5 bins. Supports virtual, fixed, and dynamic storage modes plus 5 temperature zones — from small warehouses to large cold-chain operations.

Pain Points

  • New inventory arrives and nobody knows where it should go — veterans place by memory, new hires drop it anywhere.
  • The same SKU ends up scattered across the warehouse — picking takes multiple trips to collect everything.
  • Bin layout lives in someone's head — the moment that person takes a day off, the warehouse falls apart.

Core Highlights

01

Smart put-away — the system picks the bin

After receiving completes, the system scores candidate bins automatically and recommends the top 5. Scoring weights: same-SKU clustering (+100), preset bin (+50), neighbouring same-SKU (+30), related products (+20-50), same category (+15), same tenant (+10). No experience required — a day-one hire can put items in the right place.

02

Three storage modes, matched to how you operate

Not every warehouse needs complex bin logic. Three modes, switch freely:

  • Virtual mode: no bin tracking, receiving completes straight into stock — ideal for small warehouses just starting out
  • Fixed mode: every SKU has a dedicated bin, automatically put away on receipt — ideal for warehouses with stable assortments
  • Dynamic mode: receiving stages into an inbound area, then operators choose a bin with smart recommendations — ideal for large warehouses making flexible use of space
03

Pick-face first, ground floor first

The system orders picking automatically: pick-face bins first, ground floor before upper levels, near-empty bins cleared first, then arranged by aisle flow. Operators just follow the order — no doubling back, no constant forklift work.

04

Five temperature zones — no cold-chain mixing

Every bin can be tagged with a temperature zone — ambient, constant-temperature, refrigerated, frozen, or air-conditioned. On put-away, the system checks the product's required zone against the bin's zone; mismatches are blocked at the source so cold-chain items never end up in an ambient area.

05

Full audit trail on every bin movement

Every transfer, put-away, pick, and stocktake adjustment leaves a complete record — who moved it, from where to where, how many. Filter by date, product, bin, or source operation — when stock counts don't match, the trail is there to follow.

More Capabilities

  • 01Bin lock-down: specific bins can be paused from inbound/outbound during stocktakes or maintenance — no accidental moves
  • 02Zone management: split the warehouse into multiple zones and group bins by zone for tidier oversight
  • 03Scan to transfer: scan a bin barcode on the floor and finish the stock move in one step
  • 04Custom bin types: define your own bin types to match real-world needs, each with its own storage-fee rate
