13. Automated 3PL Billing

Seven storage-fee schemes for every pricing logic

Different tenants may bill in completely different ways. The system offers seven storage models, set per tenant as needed:

• By bin type: different rack types at different rates, billed by slots occupied
• Per-item pallet rounding: each SKU rounds up to a pallet individually — ideal for strict billing
• Aggregate pallet rounding: all SKUs aggregate first, then round up — ideal for mixed-pallet billing
• By volume: charge by actual cubic measure
• By weight: charge by actual weight
• By unit count: simplest — total units × unit rate
• No storage fee: free during promotions or under special contracts

Inbound fees settled automatically

The moment receiving completes, the system calculates inbound fees against the rate card — base fee, pallet fee, case fee, unit fee, all stacked. Details write into the current month's bill automatically — no manual tallying, no missed charges.

Versioned rate cards — price changes don't break old bills

Each tenant's rate card supports multiple versions; set an effective date and the system switches automatically. Bills before the change use the old rates, bills after use the new — historical accounting stays intact and contract changes are fully auditable.

Per-channel pick rates, independently configurable

For the same tenant, pick rates can differ across sales channels. The system supports channel-level rate overrides — Momo's pick fee and Shopee's can be set separately, and the billing splits the calculation automatically.

Bill state management, from open to invoiced

Monthly bills auto-aggregate every fee item, with three-stage state management: Open (still accruing) → Closed (amount locked) → Invoiced (billing complete). For manual adjustments, add line items directly and the system recomputes the total automatically.
