FEATURE

12. Safety Stock & Replenishment

Three stock-monitoring mechanisms — quantity threshold, days-of-cover, slow-mover days — paired with a red/yellow/green health dashboard for instant visibility into every product's stock status. Alerts fire automatically below safety stock and clear after replenishment — no manual watching required.

Pain Points

  • Busy shipping every day — then a customer places an order and you realize the stock is gone.
  • Too much stock ties up cash, too little risks stockouts — gut-feel replenishment never hits the mark.
  • Different products turn over at different speeds — one rule for all doesn't work.

Core Highlights

01

Three monitoring methods, fit different product profiles

Not every product calls for the same replenishment trigger. The system offers three monitoring methods:

  • Quantity threshold: alert when stock drops below a set number — ideal for steady-selling basics
  • Days of cover: project remaining sell-through days from recent average velocity — ideal for volatile-demand items
  • Slow-mover days: items with no outbound movement past N days are auto-flagged as slow-movers for review

Each SKU and each stock type can carry its own monitoring rule.

02

Health dashboard — red/yellow/green at a glance

Each product's stock state is scored automatically into Healthy, Warning, or Critical tiers. Open the monitoring board to see which items are about to stock out and which are over-stocked — full warehouse status without querying item by item.

03

Expiry alerts, proactive notification

Set expiry warning windows per tenant and per stock type. When items approach the shipping-eligibility threshold, the system fires an in-app notification plus an email — giving you time to plan a clearance or supplier return, rather than discovering it only after expiry.

04

Real-time channel inventory sync, with safety buffer

Push current WMS stock back to every connected channel any time at a configurable ratio. Beyond auto-triggered sync on inbound, any movement — stocktake adjustment, return, manual correction — can be re-synced on demand, keeping channel-visible availability in lockstep with actual stock. Set a release ratio (e.g., expose only 80% of real stock) to keep a safety buffer; per-SKU floors stop syncing once stock drops below the threshold.

05

Alerts auto-trigger and auto-clear

When stock drops below the threshold, the system generates an alert automatically; once replenishment brings stock back to safe levels, the alert clears automatically. No manual watching, no manually dismissing notifications — the system keeps judging on its own.

More Capabilities

  • 01Expiry-filtered monitoring: monitoring can be set to only track stock with more than N days of remaining life — near-expiry items excluded from sellable count
  • 02Daily snapshot export: every day's stock state is preserved automatically; download historical snapshots for trend analysis
  • 03Independent monitoring per stock type: good stock, defective, returns — each has its own monitoring rule, never mixed in judgment
  • 04Auto-flagged slow-movers: long-inactive stock surfaces automatically — reminding you that stockouts aren't the only problem, dead stock matters too
